COLLEGE STATION, TX — The No. 22 Texas A&M Aggies make their first-ever trip to Horner Ballpark Tuesday as they play the Dallas Baptist Patriots in a 6:30 p.m. game.

The game features two of the nation’s most consistent winners in recent years. The Aggies and Patriots are two of just five teams to log 40 or more wins in every season since 2015. The other three teams are Florida, Florida State and Louisville.

The Aggies rank in the top 10 in the nation in numerous pitching categories, including K-to-BB Ratio (4th - 4.38), ERA (6th - 2.08), WHIP (7th - 0.99), Shutouts (8th - 3), Strikeouts Per Nine Innings (9th - 11.1) and Walks Allowed Per Nine Innings (9th - 2.53).

Texas A&M starting pitchers have registered a 9-2 record with a 1.55 ERA, .185 opponent batting average, 4.95 K-to-BB ratio and 0.88 WHIP through 18 starts.

The Maroon & White are playing in their first true road game of 2019. Texas A&M’s prior venture away from Blue Bell this year resulted in a 3-0 performance in claiming the tournament title at the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic to start March. Two of Texas A&M’s victories at Minute Maid Park came against top 25 opposition, including No. 18 Baylor (5-2) and No. 17 TCU (1-0).

Dallas Baptist enters the fray as winners of seven consecutive games. The streak includes weekend sweeps of Houston Baptist and Oral Roberts, as well as a victory over Oklahoma last Wednesday. The Patriots are on the fringe of the top 25 sitting in 31st place in the USA Today Coaches Poll as well as receiving votes in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll.

Texas A&M owns a 28-8 edge in the all-time series with all 36 games played in College Station.

The game will air on SportsRadio 1150 and/or 102.7 The Zone.
