A&M baseball coasts past ACU

COLLEGE STATION, TX — The No. 22 Texas A&M Aggies coasted to a 9-3 win over the Abilene Christian Wildcats Wednesday evening on Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

The Texas A&M bats were solid once again with the Maroon & White out-hitting ACU, 12-5. Nine different Aggies recorded at least one hit and six scored at least one run.

Logan Foster, Bryce Blaum and Hunter Coleman paced the Aggie offense. Foster went 3-for-4 with one run, one double and one RBI. Blaum was 2-for-3 with three runs, while Coleman added a huge two-run blast.

Chris Weber got the start, yielding three run, one earned, on three hits while fanning six. Texas A&M (13-2) used four relievers and Chandler Jozwiak (2-0) earned the win, throwing one perfect frame while fanning one. The Aggies’ bullpen combined for 4.2 shutout innings scattering two hits and two walks while striking out nine.

Texas A&M’s pitchers struck out 15 for their 11th double-digit performance of the season.
