UMHB's Holt named to All-Region team

BELTON, TX — The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s basketball team placed one player on the D3hoops.com All-South Region Team, released on Monday. Hannah Holt was named to the All-South Second Team.

Holt, a junior guard from Lumberton High School, led the Cru in scoring at 15.5 points per game and she grabbed 5.3 rebounds per contest. Holt shot 44 percent from the field and 33 percent from three-point range. She also added 64 assists and 45 steals on the season. Holt was voted to the American Southwest Conference All-Conference Team and also earned First Team ASC All-West Division honors this spring. She was ASC West Division Player of the Year and was named to the ASC West Division All-Defensive Team.

The Cru women finished 27-4 overall and won the ASC West Division with a 15-1 league record. UMHB advanced to the NCAA Division III National Championships for the first time in program history and went three rounds deep before falling to Washington-St. Louis in the Sectional Tournament.
