BELTON, TX — University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men’s tennis player Alex Mackellar has been named to the American Southwest Conference All-Conference Team announced on Monday (April 29th). Mackellar was also a First Team ASC All-West Division selection.
Mackellar, a senior from Belton High School, claimed a spot on the All-Conference Team and All-West Division First Team at #6 singles. He posted a 12-2 overall record in singles play this spring and was 6-0 in ASC West Division singles play. Mackellar also added a 6-7 record in doubles play and went 3-2 in ASC West Division doubles action. This is the fourth ASC All-West Division honor of Mackellar’s career.
The UMHB men finished 7-7 overall and went 3-3 in ASC West Division play this spring. The Cru advanced to the ASC Championship Tournament before falling to East Division #1 seed and tournament host LeTourneau University in the Quarterfinals.
