BELTON, TX — University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men’s soccer player Ethan Rimbey has been named American Southwest Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 8th. Rimbey is the second Cru player to win ASC Weekly honors this season.

Rimbey, a freshman goalkeeper from Cy-Ranch High School, recorded a shutout in his first collegiate start in UMHB’s 2-0 victory over the University of Dallas last Friday. Rimbey posted eight saves in the Cru’s first shutout of the season.

The UMHB men are 2-0-1 on the season after the win over the Crusaders. The Cru returns to action with a 7:30 pm home match against Our Lady of the Lake on Saturday.
