WACO, TX — Two Baylor Lady Bears seniors were injured after colliding during practice.

According to a statement from the team, DiDi Richards and Moon Ursin were injured during a Baylor Women's Basketball practice on October 24.

Richards sustained a Spinal Cord Injury Without Radiographic Abnormality (SCIWORA). The team says this is a shock to the spinal cord that causes temporary impairment.

She was evaluated, treated and released from Baylor Scott & White - Hillcrest. The team says Richards is making progress from her injury, but is out indefinitely with no defined time table for a return to basketball activities.

Richards is the reigning National Defensive Player of the Year.

Ursin, a senior guard, suffered a concussion in the collision and has entered concussion protocol.
