WACO, TEXAS — It has already been a historic season for Baylor Volleyball. The undefeated Bears have beaten five ranked opponents already this season, tied for most in a single season in program history. Partner that with a program-best No. 2 ranking, and the Bears seem poised for their best season ever.

But, now that the Bears have conquered the non-conference schedule, they are turning their attention to another milestone, a Big 12 Championship.

Baylor has never brought home a conference title, but they enter Big 12 play as the top-ranked team in the league. This marks the first time the Bears have ever been the top-ranked team in the conference.

With so much non-conference success the Bears have faced little adversity, dropping only two sets over ten matches. That means they are focusing on lost points as they look to improve headed into conference play.

"We know we can do great things, but today is the most important day ever," senior outside hitter Gia Milana said. "And, yes, we do have to harp on those small points. We'll break down in film every little thing. Like, even if someone makes a false step on a block, saw it the wrong way and had to go back. That's the kind of stuff that's like, 'why did you see that?' Even the little, little things. So, yeah. We're trying to learn from every little detail."

The Bears open conference play with a trip to Lawerence, Kansas to take on the Jayhawks this weekend before returning home to play Oklahoma next week.
