WACO, TX — Baylor (17-26, 2-13) fell 4-0 to Iowa State (26-18, 3-8) Friday night at Getterman Stadium.

The Lady Bears got off to a strong start as Sidney Holman struck out a pair of batters in the first inning. An inning later, Iowa State loaded the bases with two outs, but Goose McGlaun caught a pop fly at first base to end the inning.

Defensively, Nicky Dawson tied her career high with six putouts on the night. She leapt in the air to snag a line drive twice – once in the fourth inning and again in the sixth.

Holman finished with four strikeouts as she gave up three runs off five hits in 5.1 innings of work. Kassidy Krupit came on in relief and gave up one run off two hits with one strikeout.
