WACO, TX — The Lady Bears have dismissed sophomore guard Honesty Scott-Grayson for violation of team rules.
Baylor Athletics released a statement Monday afternoon saying the dismissal was effective immediately.
Her dismissal comes just before the start of her sophomore year at Baylor and second season with the reigning national champions. Last season she played in 28 games and averaged 2.5 points per game.
Scott-Grayson was 18th nationally overall and second at her position by ESPN Hoopgurlz throughout her recruitment. She was selected as a 2018 McDonald’s All-American and was included on the 2018 Naismith Trophy Midseason Girls’ Basketball Watch List. Scott-Grayson carried a five-star rating and was ranked in the Top 20 nationally in the 2018 recruiting class.
