MORGANTOWN, WV — Taking up the slack for senior All-American Kalani Brown, junior forward Lauren Cox recorded her 24th career double-double and led the top-ranked Baylor Lady Bears to a tight 63-57 win over West Virginia Monday night to cap off their second straight 18-0 run in Big 12 play.

Cox had 22 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks, helping Baylor (28-1, 18-0) extend its conference regular-season winning streak to 41 and 35 in a row on the road in league play despite West Virginia (20-9, 11-7) holding the Lady Bears to a season-low-matching 63 points.

Brown, plagued with early foul trouble, finished with eight points and eight rebounds in just 26 minutes. The 6-7 senior failed to score in double digits for just the fourth time this season.
Baylor, the only team in the Big 12 that has run the table in an 18-game conference slate, did it for the second year in a row and fourth time in the last eight seasons and also ran its national-best winning streak to 20.

After missing her first 10 shots, West Virginia senior Naomi Davenport knocked down four 3-pointers and eight of her last 13 to lead the Mountaineers with 20 points. Tynice Martin added 18 and freshman Kari Niblack 13 for WVU, while Juicy Landrum and Chloe Jackson had 13 and 10, respectively, for the Lady Bears.

Baylor is the No. 1 seed for the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship that begins Friday at Chesapeake Arena in Oklahoma City. The Lady Bears will have a first-round bye and face the winner of the 8/9 game at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
