WACO, TX — Baylor women’s golfer Erica Chiang recorded her career-first top-10 finish to lead a group of four Bears competing as individuals at the ICON Invitational.

Chiang shot 1-over-par 217 across 54 holes to take eighth place in the 84-player field. Sophomore Gurleen Kaur and freshman Emma Bradley tied for 28th place at 7-over 223, and junior Fiona Liddell tied for 65th place at 18-over 234.

Chiang was tied for fifth place after shooting 1-under 71 in Monday’s first round. Second round play was suspended on Monday due to darkness, and players completed that round prior to the final round on Tuesday. Chiang posted an even-par 72 in the second round to move into a tie for sixth place entering the final round. She carded a 2-over 74 in the final round to finish with the second top-10 individual finish by a Baylor player this season.
