WACO, TX — Baylor University kicked off a celebration for their $1.1 billion comprehensive philanthropic campaign.
The campaign supports the university's strategic plan to impact campus life through academics, financial support, spiritual life and much more.
Baylor introduced their new Provost and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Nancy Brickhouse. They also re-announced a $100 million donation made by an anonymous family.
The donation is said to be the largest in school history. It's a gift that has Baylor staff more than thankful.
"Gifts don't come along very often, and when they do, you want to celebrate them, and then you wanna make sure that you're using them to move the university forward in a significant way, so we are humbled and honored by this gift," said Linda Livingstone, President of Baylor University.
So far, the campaign has raised $692 million.
