Baylor Track & Field heads to Texas Relays

WACO, TX — Baylor track & field looks to build off of a successful start to the outdoor season as the Bears travel south on I-35 for the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays Thursday through Saturday in Austin, Texas.

“It’s another great meet weekend for our athletes to take further steps,” head coach Todd Harbour said. “We’re coming off of a strong home meet and are hoping to continue the momentum.”

It will be an elite crew of 38 Baylor student-athletes competing at Mike A Myers Stadium & Soccer Field over the span of three days.

The prelims of the men’s and women’s 400-meter hurdles will kick things off for the Bears Thursday at 4:30 p.m. CT, with the men’s and women’s 5,000 meters taking place at 9 p.m. CT.

Things will get started early on Friday with the prelims of the 4x100-meter relays beginning at 9:35 a.m. CT. A stacked Friday/Saturday schedule for the Bears will conclude with the finals of the 4x400-meter relays beginning Saturday at 4:05 p.m. CT.

The Baylor men’s team is ranked preseason No. 13 in the NCAA Division I Track & Field Rating Index, while the women’s team is ranked No. 31. The week one rankings will be released Monday (April 1).
