WACO, TX — The Baylor student body is pumped for the upcoming Big 12 championship game. Student tickets have sold out at least twice after going live.
Baylor University said the demand for tickets crashed the server when they went live. Initially, the university received 1,373 tickets to be divided among students and the band.
They requested another 500 tickets after the initial tickets sold out, and the ticket server oversold their allotment by 262 tickets. The band said they weren't going to need their full allotment, and the University was able to use those tickets to cover the overage.
Then, a generous donor donated 2,200 tickets to Baylor students.
"Again, we appreciate all of the support you have provided for Coach Rhule and our student-athletes throughout the 2019 football season," the university said. "You have been incredible, and we hope to see you either in Dallas for the Big 12 Championship Game or at the bowl game, which will be announced Sunday, December 8."
