WACO, TX — Baylor softball announced its six-game fall schedule, with every contest played at Getterman Stadium.

All fall games are free and open to the public, with fans encouraged to take advantage of the free opportunity to see a preview of the upcoming 2020 season squad.

“This is a new year and we have a new team ready to compete and get Baylor softball back to where we are used to being,” head coach Glenn Moore said. “This fall we will play all eight allowable games at Getterman. We will play a variety of quality opponents that will challenge us and allow us to evaluate our team as we head into our offseason training program.”

BU will also open its fall camp practice schedule on Monday, Sept. 16 at 2:30 p.m. at Getterman Stadium.

After an intrasquad contest Sept. 21 at 9:30 a.m., the Lady Bears play their first contest of the fall state at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 against MCC.

Baylor will then face Blinn Community College in a doubleheader Thursday, Oct. 3 at 5 p.m. before taking on Tarleton State in a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5.

The following week, BU has back-to-back games with a 5 p.m. contest against Navarro on Thursday, Oct. 10 before playing UT Tyler at 4 p.m. the next day (Oct. 11).

Baylor wraps up the fall slate with a 3 p.m. game against A&M Commerce on Saturday, Oct. 19.

BU is coming off an 18-31 campaign in 2019. The Lady Bears return 17 letterwinners for the 2020 season, welcoming in six newcomers that could see playing time this fall for BU.
