WACO, TX — Fifth-ranked Baylor men’s tennis (12-2) closes out its three-match homestand against No. 33 Arkansas Thursday night at 6 p.m. at Hurd Tennis Center.

In the event of inclement weather, the match will be moved to Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.

Three Bears were listed in the latest ITA singles rankings with No. 42 Johannes Schretter, No. 65 Will Little and No. 77 Matias Soto combining to win 20 singles points this season. In doubles, second-ranked Lah and Jimmy Bendeck are 6-1 this spring at the No. 1 spot.

Arkansas comes into the meet with a 10-5 overall record but has won two of its last five matches. The Razorbacks are 0-3 against Big 12 teams this season. Last time out, Arkansas lost 6-1 at home to Florida in SEC play.

The Razorbacks have two ranked singles players in No. 53 Oscar Mesquida and No. 124 Adam Sanjurjo.

Historically, the Razorbacks hold a 16-0 all-time series lead over the Bears, but Thursday will be the first meeting between the two programs since March 16, 1991. The teams had faced off against each other for 16 consecutive seasons (1976-1991) in SWC play until a 28-year hiatus.
