WACO, TX — Baylor Football student-athletes decided to forego practice on Thursday and march across campus for justice following the shooting of Jacob Blake by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
In a statement, the team said players had an open conversation about how to come together as one to unite against social injustice, discuss practical ways to support hurting teammates and pray for God to use the team to create change.
Following the meeting, the team marched from the Simpson Athletic Center to Fountain Mall to pray for Waco and Baylor University.
