Baylor Athletics said that out of an abundance of caution against the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), they will have limited attendance at home games through April 5.

Only teams, essential personnel, limited family members, and credentialed media will be permitted to attend.

They said this decision comes based on guidance from the Big 12 Conference and NCAA and in conjunction with the Baylor's recent decision to extend spring break by one week and to shift to online courses through April 3.

These restrictions will take effect beginning with Friday's Baylor Baseball game vs. Grand Canyon at 6:30 p.m. CT.

The following preventive measures have been established in regards to Baylor Athletics media availabilities, which are only open to credentialed media:

  • All formal, informal and one-on-one interviews will be conducted in a press conference setting with media separated from coaches and student-athletes. Media must sit in the provided chairs.
  • Media may not access the court/field at any time. Photographers must remain in the designated photo areas before, during and after games.
  • Media will be permitted to enter facilities one hour prior to game time.
