Baylor acrobatics and tumbling earns No. 1 overall seed for NCATA Championships

WACO, TX — The undefeated Baylor acrobatics and tumbling team has earned the No. 1 overall seed for the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association National Championship Tournament, which will take place in Waco from April 25-27, as announced by the organization Sunday.

The Bears will take on No. 8 Gannon on Thursday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ferrell Center to close out a day full of quarterfinal matchups. Additionally, the Bears will be competing to qualify for spots in the individual event finals. Scores from Thursday’s meets will dictate which programs participate in the individual event finals, scheduled for Saturday, April 27 at 11 a.m.

With a meet win on Thursday, Baylor would advance to a semifinal meet on Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m. and await the winner between No. 4 Quinnipiac and No. 5 Fairmont State.

The NCATA National Championship Tournament final will take place on Saturday, April 27 at 6 p.m.
