IRVING, TX — A woman died from her injuries after being mauled by her two dogs on Saturday.
Irving police said that Johana Villafane, 33, was visiting her two pit bull terriers at O'Connor Animal Hospital Saturday morning. The dogs had been quarantined for a recent bite and Villafane had gone to feed and visit the dogs.
Police said that the dogs attacked Villafane and would not allow anyone to go near her.
Police said that officers arrived and attempted to reach Villafane, but the dogs were aggressive and had to be shot and killed in order to reach Villafane.
Villafane was taken to Parkland Hospital with life-threatening injuries. She died at the hospital.
