"Walker, Texas Ranger" fans - we have some news for you! The series is coming back to television!
Deadline reports that the series will be returning, and another Texan is set to star and executive produce the series - Jared Padalecki.
Fans of the original WB and the CW might recognize the star from "Gilmore Girls" and "Supernatural".
Deadline said that the project is being shopped by CBS TV Studios, and is written by Anna Fricke. They said Texas native Padalecki and Fricke executive produce with Rideback’s Lin and Lindsey Libertore and Industry Entertainment’s Dan Spilo. Rideback and Industry Entertainment produce with CBS Studios.
The project is called "Walker" and it will be an update of the original series that ran from 1993 to 2001.
