A new diaper is using a sensor to alert parents when babies have gone to the bathroom.
Lumi by Pampers uses a smart sensor that attaches to an infant's diaper and sends you a notification when they go to the bathroom.
The new sensor was shown at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
Lumi involves a three step system including a video monitor, a Velcro attached diaper sensor and an app.
The sensor also "automatically tracks your baby’s sleep patterns to help you create a routine that works for the whole family."
Lumi by Pampers is described on the company's website as "the world's first all-in-one connected care system that helps parents track day-to-day developments, and monitor their baby, 24/7, so they can see emerging patterns and establish a suitable routine."
The product is already available online.
