LEANDER, Texas (KXXV) — Governor Greg Abbott visits Leander on Wednesday, presenting checks to Texans impacted by the July 4 flooding in the Hill Country.
The governor will distribute funding from the "Strait To The Heart" benefit concert. Country music singer George Strait and Tom Cusick hosted the concert in July, raising more than $6 million for the 501(c)(3) Vaqueros del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund.
Abbott will be joined by Texas Division of Emergency Management Chief Nim Kidd.
