NAVARRO COUNTY, TX — A man was arrested and charged after officials said they found several guns and narcotics during a search on Monday.
According to the Navarro County Sheriff's Office, deputies made a discovery after a traffic stop in Rice at the 243 northbound mile marker on I-45.
During the traffic stop, narcotics and a loaded pistol were located inside the vehicle. The narcotics unit was contacted and they conducted a follow up investigation at the suspect's residence off of FM 1126 near Rice.
During the search, two kilos of China white heroin, additional weapons, ammunition, body armor and a fuel tank with a false compartment were seized.
One suspect was arrested and transported to the Justice Center where he was charged with manufacture/ delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
