NEW HANOVER, N.C. β Every pet at a North Carolina Shelter received a little holiday cheer today in the form of a turkey dinner on this Thanksgiving Day.
The New Hanover Sheriff's Department Animal Unit posted, "Shelter animals deserve a turkey dinner too and they loved theirs today!"
The animals got to eat turkey, green beans, yams and mashed potatoes with gravy.
The department also advises everyone to make sure anything you give your pets to eat today is safe for them to consume.
"Happy Thanksgiving from all of us with the Animal Services Unit!! π¦π," says the department.
