KLEBERG COUNTY, TX — Kleberg County Sheriff's Office has released a photo of two persons of interest wanted in connection with the murder of a New Hampshire couple found buried at a beach in Corpus Christi.
Officials are working to identify the man driving the vehicle. Police believe the man in the photo is from Corpus Christi, and say he has gauges in his ears and tattoos.
James Butler and his wife Michelle were found buried in a shallow grave on Padre Island in Corpus Christi on Oct. 27 and 28. The two went missing nearly three weeks before that, according to police.
The suspects were seen driving the couple's stolen RV across a checkpoint into Mexico on Oct. 21. Police obtained the photo through surveillance footage. Authorities are still searching for the RV.
The Kleberg County Sheriff's Office held a news conference Monday to provide updates and more information on the persons of interest in the case.
