SOUTHAVEN, MISS — Police say a 2-year-old boy was abandoned with a change of clothes and a note at a Goodwill drop off location in Southaven, Mississippi.
On December 14, around 9:50 AM, a child was abandoned at the Goodwill drop off location at 57 Stateline Road East in Southaven.
According to police, a suspect dropped the child off with a plastic bag containing a change of clothes and a note.
The suspect then left the scene on foot.
Police say the boy was unable to give his name or the names of his parents or relatives.
He was transported to the Southaven Police Department where he was turned over to Child Protective Services.
Southaven Police were later able to obtain photos of a vehicle associated with the incident and post them on social media. After they received numerous tips and with the assistance of F.B.I. offices in both Mississippi and Tennessee, along with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, a suspect related to this case was taken into custody in Memphis.
Police say the investigation is still on going and no suspect information or charges are being released.
