LAS VEGAS, NV — Activists in Las Vegas found a unique way to re-purpose shipping containers.

Arnold Stalk's organization converts containers into affordable homes geared toward veterans.

Each container has a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.

The smaller containers are 1,300 sq. feet and cost about $27,000 to renovate.

"The only way to solve a homeless problem is to build homes. I'd love to find a developer that has some guts out there to take a chance to really put a community like this together," said Stalk.

There’s also 2,500 sq. feet homes available that cost around $37,000 to renovate.

Stalk says the converted container can be mass produced and can hopefully solve a problem that many veterans face.

The new area of container homes has been named Share Village #2.
