Christmas shipping deadlines: Final days to send packages via USPS, FedEx, UPS, Amazon

With a record number of packages expected to go out this holiday season, you'll want to be sure to get your packages sent out on time!

More than 200 billion packages are expected to be delivered this year.

The United States Postal Service is projecting over 800 million packages, and FedEx is expected to deliver more than 500 million. UPS is forecasting a record holiday delivery of about 750 million packages.

The holiday shopping season is also six days shorter than last year, making it even more crucial to know your Christmas shipping deadlines.

Christmas Delivery Deadlines for USPS, FedEx, UPS and Amazon (to have packages delivered by December 25):

Dec. 20: First-Class Mail

Dec. 23: Priority Mail Express

Dec. 19: Express Saver

Dec. 20: 2-Day shipping

Dec. 23: First, Priority and Standard Overnight shipping

Amazon Shipping Deadlines

Dec. 14: Last day for free shipping by Amazon (On qualifying orders over $25)

Dec. 18: Last day for standard shipping (3-5 day delivery)

Dec. 22: Last day for free delivery with PRIME (Free with prime, no minimum purchase)

Dec. 23: Last day for one-day delivery

Dec. 24: Last day for same-day delivery ($9.98 per item. Free with Prime on qualifying orders over $35)
