WACO, TX — A woman from Sherman, TX said a man stole her dog and sold the dog in Waco. Sherman is about 3 hours north of Waco.

DeLinda Webb believes her neighbor stole her bulldog, Sassy, from her yard on Jan. 28. She's been trying to get her back ever since.

A woman came forward and said she bought the dog from the man at the end of January for $600. They will be reuniting next week.

Webb said the neighbor has created multiple posts online trying to sell Sassy.

She filed a report with the Sherman Police Department, and officers are investing the case as a theft.

Webb said Sassy is her therapy pet, helping her cope with anxiety and PTSD.

Webb posted her story on the Central Texas Lost & Found Pets Facebook page, asking around to see if anyone has her.

Webb was originally offering a $1,000 reward to bring Sassy home, but she's bumped the reward up to $2,500.

"She's just so special, just so special," Webb said. "I have to have her home because this is devastating. But the people that got her, they will be rewarded, anybody, they will be rewarded."

Webb said if someone already bought Sassy, she's begging them to come forward.

"They will not be in trouble," Webb said. "They'll be more like a hero than anything."
