WESTPHALIA, TX — The community of Westphalia came together Sunday morning for its 113th annual Westphalia Picnic.

Many people were at the Westphalia Parish Hall Sunday morning -- cooking the fresh chicken and preparing final touches for the big event.

More than 6,000 plates were served at the event.

At the end of July, 25 News brought you live coverage as the 124-year-old Church of the Visitation tragically burnt to the ground.

For this year's picnic, the church was raising money for a brand new church.
