Valley Mills: Police chief hands in resignation at city council meeting

VALLEY MILLS, TX — The Valley Mills Police Chief Robert Summers has resigned after four years with the department.

The Valley Mills City Council accepted a resignation letter from Chief Summers Monday night at a city council meeting.

Chief Summers did not provide a reason for his resignation, according to officials.

Summers started in April of 2015, and his last day will be on September 12 after he finishes up some outstanding paperwork.
