WACO, TX — Plus Waco Comics, the first comic book publishing company, is here and prepared to bring the community new, heartfelt and fun stories for all to enjoy.

"These character's narratives are about self-healing, social awareness, things happening now and just have fun reading the stories as well. That is what we are looking for," said Co-Founder and Writer, Joey Gonzales.

Getting to this point didn't happen overnight.

"It's just a lot of ups and downs through the whole process but great times," said Armando Ramirez, Co-Founder, illustrator, and cover artist.

Gonzales says he left his job back in 2017 to fully focus on his passion for comics. He wanted to create his own universe and took his goal very seriously.

"Studying a lot of past great books, writers, learning what was great then and how we can create something unique to us and the reader as well."

He later met Armando Ramirez and Danny Flores who also have a passion for comics. They teamed up, bringing their ideas and stories to life.

"2019, 2 years, we got everything solidified," said Gonzales, "We had meeting after meeting and had no idea how to form a company like this so we did it all grassroots."

Their hard work and dedication leading them to where they are now: a comic book publishing company and their new world of comics, Plus Universe Alpha.

"We are just really excited to get this into people's hands, we think that everybody will like it, it's for everybody," said Ramirez.

Their first book, Plus Universe Alpha, is the launching point for 6 different titles that they have coming out over the next four years.

The comic book will be available in April. The good news is, you can check out some of their stories and pre-order not only the book but custom commissions and even an original page from the book. Find that information here.

There is a limited time window, the campaign ends on November 22nd.
