FALLS COUNTY, TX — Officials say two men who are neighbors got into an altercation, resulting in the death of a 59-year-old man and sending another man to the hospital.
The man who was killed has been identified as Roger Ross. Officials say Ross died at the scene after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
The other man was identified as Tim Haigood, 55. He was shot in the neck and chest and airlifted to Scott & White in Temple. He was released from the hospital on Monday.
Officials say an autopsy has been ordered for Ross.
The investigation is ongoing, and the Texas Rangers have been called in to assist. Officials believe the dispute was because of some dead livestock on a fence.
