The Killeen Police Department shared an update on a shooting.
The department says the person has died from a self-inflicted gunshot.

At approximately 5:42 p.m., Killeen police responded to the 2400 block of South Fort Hood Road for reports of a gunshot victim.
Authorities said the victim was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in critical condition.
Police said the scene remains active, but there is no ongoing threat to the public. No further details, including the identity of the victim or possible suspects, have been released.
