(UPDATE: November 12, 2019, 2:02 p.m.) The Navarro County Office of Emergency Management says Dale McCeig has been found.

McCeig was first reported missing Monday night as temperatures in the area were dropping. After searching all evening, the Freestone County Sheriff's Office asked the community to join the search party on Tuesday morning.

Tuesday afternoon, officials announced that he had been found.

"The missing man from Fairfield has been located. NCOEM, NCSO, and CERT were deploying to assist when the call came in he has been found. Great job by the team in Fairfield locating him," said NCOEM in a Facebook post.

McCeig was located alive, according to FSCO. But no other details have been released at this time

(UPDATE: November 12, 2019, 12:31 a.m.) The Freestone County Sheriff's Office is still searching for 88-year-old Dale McCeig, who has dementia.

For anyone who would like to assist in the search, all first responder units will continue to search for McCeig throughout the night.

If the Sheriff's Office is unable to locate him by 6 a.m., the plan is to regroup at the Green Barn at Fairfield Fairgounds at 7 a.m.

At 7 a.m., if you would like to assist with the search, you are asked to meet there to be matched with a team of First Responders.

People who choose to join the search need to be healthy enough to walk and search, says officials.

Everyone involved in the search will be given orders by the FIrst Responder leader. These orders and instructions must be followed or you will have to vacate the search, said Sheriff Shipley.

He advises everyone to get some rest, as they will need help in the morning at 7 a.m. to continue trying to locate Mr. McCeig, who went missing in very cold conditions on Monday.
