BRYAN, TX — Thousands of customers are without power in Bryan after a severe thunderstorm moved through the area on Tuesday afternoon.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Brazos and Burleson County until 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, saying the storm was capable of producing winds up to 60 mph and quarter size hail.
Reports are coming in across the area of wind damage, including poles and lines down in the area.
Bryan Texas Utilities said due to the weather, crews are responding to multiple outages across the area.
Outages due to thunderstorms are now affecting over 4,600 customers. All crews are dispatched and working as safely and quickly as possible to restore power to affected areas. #btualerts
