A school nurse for Rosebud-Lott ISD has been arrested for allegedly having an improper relationship with a student.

Falls County Constable Jerry Loden says Erin Lewie turned herself in around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9. She has been charged with an improper relationship between an educator and student, a second degree felony.

According to Superintendent James Rosebrock, the school district was made aware of allegations on Sunday, December 6.

The school district immediately placed Lewie on a paid suspension, pending the outcome of an investigation.

The district then called Constable Loden, who is also the school resource officer, and reported the allegations. He then took over the investigation.

Rosebrock says Lewie was a school nurse assigned to the secondary campus, which is grades 7 through 12.

The superintendent went on to say that the school district is "deeply saddened by the situation."
