HEARNE, TX — A cash reward is being offered for information that will lead to the closure of a deadly auto-pedestrian crash.

On Monday, November 2 around 6:15 p.m., officers with the Hearne Police Department were called out to the area of Old Franklin Highway, just east of North Market Street, for reports of a vehicle/pedestrian crash.

Officers found an unresponsive man in the roadway. He was later pronounced dead by the Justice of the Peace.

Based on a preliminary investigation, authorities believe a vehicle hit the man, causing injuries that led to his death. The suspect driver did not stop at the scene.

A man, possibly between the ages of 50 and 55, drove to the Hearne Fire Department and reported the crash. He was driving a black, 2015-2016 Ford F-150 four-door when he arrived to make the report.

Authorities believe this person may have information that leads to closure of the case.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Robertson County Crime Stoppers at (800) 299-0191.

Information could lead up to a cash reward of $1,000.
