BRYAN, TX — A 21-year-old man has died after a three-vehicle crash on Wellborn Road.

According to the Bryan Police Department, around 4:10 p.m., officers received a report of a crash in the 4200 block of Wellborn Road near Natalie Street.

Bryan PD says a Toyota Camry was traveling southbound when the driver stopped to make a left-hand turn into the Westgate Shopping Center. A Ford van was also traveling southbound and failed to control their speed, striking the Camry from behind.

The crash pushed the Camry into oncoming traffic, where it was hit by a Jeep Wrangler that was traveling northbound. The crash caused the Jeep to roll.

Bryan PD says the driver of the Jeep was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. The driver, 21-year-old William Zachary Elder from Mineral Wells, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bryan PD says the driver of the Camry and van did not require medical attention. The driver of the van was issued a citation for failure to control speed and no driver's license.
