CLIFTON, TX — Clifton police need the public's help identifying two burglary suspects who stole items from a welding rig truck parked at the Velkomen Inn on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, December 3 at 11:11 a.m., a male suspect and female suspect drove into the back parking lot of the Velkomen Inn, located at 1215 N. Avenue G in Clifton.
The suspects were driving a 2020 silver Chevrolet pickup truck with a license plate registered to a 2016 blue Chevrolet pickup truck from Mesquite. Police assume the plates were most likely stolen.
After they pulled in to the parking lot, they backed up beside a welding rig truck. Then, they broke into the vehicle and stole numerous items..
The male suspect at one point entered the lobby to go to the men's restroom. Police were able to obtain surveillance footage of him entering through the front door.
