MADISONVILLE, TX — A man has been arrested after he allegedly rammed into a woman's car and fired two gunshots into the car while her children were inside.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, the Madison County Sheriff's Office, along with the Madisonville Police Department, Precinct 2 Constable and Texas Highway Patrol responded to FM-1452 West Madisonville for a domestic dispute.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office says the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Adam Carter, allegedly rammed the victim's car with his own vehicle while on the roadway. He then got out and fired at least two shot's into the victim's car.

The woman attempted to drive away, but her car was damaged by the collision. That's when the sheriff's office says a Good Samaritan drove by and picked up the woman and her children and left the area.

Carter then allegedly fired a shot at the Good Samaritan's car.

Following a four-hour manhunt, he was located and taken into custody without incident. He is currently in the MCSO Jail on multiple felony charges.
