TEAGUE, TX — A man was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and unlawful possession of metal or body armor by a felon during the execution of a search warrant in Teague.
The Free Stone County Sheriff's Office says deputies executed 2 search warrants in the City of Teague in connection with a multi-agency theft investigation.
During the search, officers located 2 firearms, Schedule 3 controlled substances, and a tactical vest with ballistic inserts and metal body armor plates.
A man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a controlled supstance less than 28 grams and unlawful possession of metal or body armor by a felon.
The search warrants were executed with assistance by the Freestone County District Attorney's Office, Leon County Sheriff's Office, Heart of Texas Auto Taskforce and Teague PD.
FCSO says the investigation is ongoing.
