COPPERAS COVE, TX — Copperas Cove police are informing residents of a scam alert.
Police said a business that is calling itself SportsMedia is soliciting local business in a deceptive manner.
SportsMedia claims they are selling advertising for Copperas Cove ISD, specifically the cheer team. The school district did not approve of the advertising or authorize the use of their logo.
If a business has already sent money to SportsMedia, police recommend that they contact the company and ask for a refund.
