DALLAS, TX — The Amber Alert that was issued Sunday night for a missing Dallas 4-year-old has since been canceled.
Police said Fermin Fuentes was found safe and is in the care of his mother.
Dallas police said the boy's father originally reported that the boy's mother was in Mexico and had no way of being contacted.
The boy was later found with his mother. Police said he was never in any danger or in the vehicle that was initially reported stolen.
The boy's father was taken into custody but as of Monday morning, he has not been charged with anything.
