CHILTON, TX — One woman is dead after a house fire in Chilton Saturday.
Authorities were called out around 12:02 p.m. to CR 493 and CR 4014 across the street from the cemetery.
One woman died from the blaze. Another woman was able to make it out of the house.
Four dogs were also killed in the fire.
Multiple volunteer fire departments assisted, including Chilton VFD, Golinda VFD, Lott VFD, Marlin VFD and Rosebud VFD. The Falls County Sheriff's Office also responded.
