One person is dead after a wreck on FM 2602 south of Clifton Friday.
On Friday, December 4, 2020, at approximately 7:45 p.m., a fatal crash occurred on FM 2602 near Private Road 660, south of Clifton.
A Buick Lacrosse traveling southbound failed to properly negotiate a curve in the roadway, causing the vehicle to lose control, overturn and eject the driver, who was not utilizing the vehicle's safety belt, according to DPS.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as 24-year-old Julian Combest of Cleburne.
Next of kin has been notified.
The investigation is still active and ongoing.
