The driver of the Dodge, Thomas Treto-Trinidad, 33, of San Marcos was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been notified.
ORIGINAL STORY:
A major wreck in Chilton has left one person dead Sunday.
On Sunday, November 8, 2020, at approximately 4:20 p.m., a fatal crash occurred on US-77 near SH-7, south of Chilton.
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to the scene.
The driver of a Dodge pickup truck traveling southbound drove onto the wrong side of the road, crashing into the front of a Ford pickup truck traveling northbound, according to DPS.
The driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford was transported to Baylor Scott and White in Waco with non-life-threatening injuries.
Next of kin have not been notified. The investigation is still active and ongoing.
