WACO, TX — Police have identified the man who was killed in a motorocycle accident on Monday.
According to Waco police, it happened at about 12:37 p.m. on W. Loop 340 and Imperial Drive. The intersection near Highway 6.
When officers arrived they found that the motorcyclist, 49-year-old Lewis Towner, of Lorena, crashed into a guard rail. According to witnesses, it is believed that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
Towner was pronounced dead at the scene.
Waco fire, victims services and AMR responded to the scene.
The investigation is still on going.
