NCSO investigating home burglary and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon

The Navarro County Sheriff's Office is investigating a reported burglary of a habitation and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The investigation took place in the 100 block of S Hwy 309 Goodlow.

The suspects allegedly discharged a firearm at the homeowner during the commission of the crime, according to the NCSO.

As a result, three arrests were made, according to the NCSO.

Due to the investigation, the NCSO also executed two evidentiary search warrants.

Sheriff Elmer Tanner said numerous items were recovered that are believed to have been stolen from multiple car burglaries that occurred last night in Kerens.

Numerous law enforcement units and TDCJ tracking dogs were in the area, Sheriff Elmer Tanner said.

Kerens Police Department, DPS, TDCJ Beto Unit officers, and Navarro County Sheriff's Office were on scene.
